Privacy Policy

Deal Scanner is operated by Evergreen Solutions LLC, organized in the State of Iowa, United States ("we", "us"). The app watches online marketplaces and notifies you when a listing matches a search you set up. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. We built the app to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

• Your searches. The filters you create — keywords, a city name, a price range, and which marketplaces to watch. We need these to do the one thing the app does.
• A notification token. When you turn on notifications, your device gives us an anonymous push token so we can send you alerts. It identifies a device, not you.
• Matched listings (alerts). When a listing matches one of your searches, we store a copy so it appears in the app.
• App preferences. Settings you choose, including your time zone (so features like quiet hours and the daily digest happen at the right local time) and your subscription tier.
• Basic diagnostics. If the app crashes, our crash- reporting provider (Sentry) records technical details about the error and device to help us fix it. This is not used to identify you.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise GPS location. Location is only the city name you type. Your account is anonymous — it's tied to your device, not your identity.

How we use it

Solely to operate the service: to run your searches against the marketplaces, to detect matches, to send you notifications, and to keep the app working. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not run third-party ad or tracking SDKs. We never sell your data.

Sharing

We do not sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers. To find matches, we query public marketplace listings (such as Craigslist and OfferUp) — we never send those sites your identity or your saved searches beyond the search terms needed to look for matches. We rely on a few service providers who process data only to run the app: Expo and the Apple/Google notification systems (to deliver pushes), Railway (hosting), Sentry (crash diagnostics), and, for paid subscriptions, RevenueCat and the Apple/Google app stores (to process purchases). We don't otherwise share your information.

Your rights and choices

You control your data:

• Access / export. You can request a copy of the data associated with your account in a portable format. Contact us using the email below and we'll provide it.
• Deletion. You can delete your account and everything associated with it at any time from Settings → Delete account inside the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
• Notifications. Turn pushes off anytime in your device settings or the app.

Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, port, or delete your information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. Because we don't sell personal information, there's nothing to opt out of on that front. To exercise any right, email us below.

Retention

We keep your data only while your account exists. When you delete your account, the associated data is removed. Crash diagnostics are retained by our provider for a limited period and then discarded.

Children

Deal Scanner is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, note it in the app.
